Using batteries of different voltages will change the maximum speed of the motor, but the torque will remain the same. To calculate the maximum speed at different battery voltages, it is important to use the kv (RPM / Volt) constant. It is important to note that if the voltage of the motor itself is 72V a battery with a lower voltage than 48V can be used for the application.

Thus (indication of the characteristics of the motor at different battery voltages based on the formula is shown below):

RPM = kv * Voltage = 16.2 RPM/V * 48V = 778 RPM

48V -  778 RPM      280 Nm

60V -  2880 RPM    280 Nm

72V -  1166.4 RPM 280 Nm

96V -  1555.2 RPM 280 Nm

120V - 1944 RPM   280 Nm

144V - 2333 RPM   280 Nm
